Falling Into Place

I have had a song {more specifically, a line from a song} in my head for the past few weeks that has really touched me. When I first heard it, it was exactly what I needed to hear and I don't think that is a coincidence. In fact, each time since, it has given me some perspective and helped me return to a place of gratitude.

I know there are those out there who are going through difficult times and that each person has their own filter of what that looks like - but I believe these lyrics speak to each person where they are. One of the multitude of reasons I love music so much is that each person can hear the exact same thing and take away something different - just like any other form of art. Everyone's unique experience in this world is exactly what is needed in order to make it go 'round #youdoyou!

I hope that whatever storm you might be going through - that you might be able to take some comfort in these words, and that you allow yourself the opportunity to just be held.

Hope your week just got a little brighter!

#Goals: Fall Edition

Now that it's FINALLY FALL, I can stop dreaming and start doing some of my favorite things.

I know the rest of the world out there has fall-mania as well (thanks, Starbucks) but I can't deny my love for all things fall.

No, that's not a PSL, but it was a great way to celebrate the first day of Fall

Besides probably trying to drink less coffee, here are my top 10 goals this season!

2. Host our 2nd Annual Denver Friendsgiving

3. Cheer on my Packers every Sunday {and kinda root for Denver too #hometeam} both of which happen to be 2-0 right now

4. Attend the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta for the first time {even though I'm a native New Mexican...whoops}

5. Pick out the best pumpkins in the pumpkin patch and carve them {perhaps whilst watching It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown}

6. Try any new recipe that starts with the word "pumpkin"

7. Have a Harry Potter Marathon and complete the series {for the umpteenth time} before my 2 {yes you read that right...2!!} trips to Orlando/Harry Potter Land! Oh and Butter Beer...

8. Be more intentional about spending time being creative

9. Volunteer at the food bank

10. Break out the massive amounts of scarves, boots, leggings and jackets

11. Bonus Goal: CANDLES! All day. Every day.

Follow me on Instagram to see how the list stacks up.

As a side note - is anyone else as excited as I am about the fall TV lineup coming back? Also - no spoilers on the Heroes Reborn premiere - I plan to watch this weekend!

What are some of the goals on your list this fall? Are you already in the spirit or clinging to summer?
